Human nature is preoccupied with the outer appearance, usually.

Before a mirror, we arrange our apparel and face until we are satisfied with what we see.

But do we gaze into the law of God to discover our imperfections?

With the purpose of correcting and reforming our characters as we do our complexions?

It’s not enough to mentally assent that Jesus paid the penalty for our sins.

Faith and works are synonymous to be justified and for ongoing sanctification to begin.

Pride, worldliness, and vanity if not overcome, will lead to eternal death.

Yet, with our consent, God will transform our hearts just as we carefully arrange our dress.
