"The Two Trees"

When the first man and woman were created, they resembled their Maker
Handsome, happy, healthy, and holy, until they became law breakers
The Garden of Eden was their home. A variety of fruit trees was their meat
Of every plant they could consume, yet the tree of knowledge of good and evil, they were not to eat
This tree was placed next to the Tree of Life. Their loyalty to God was to be a test
Partaking of the former, would lead to their demise, while the latter would lead to eternal existence
When Adam disobeyed, he was deprived of the life-giving tree
Mankind now subject to death, gradually diminishing and becoming extinct
But this is not how the story ends. The plan of salvation has been put in place
As we abide in Jesus Christ, our Savior, he offers forgiveness, restoration, and grace
