God daily gives us the precious gift of
and I learned that squandering this measured activity isn’t benign.
Every moment given is to be used for His glory.
Accountable we will be held, for He takes inventory.
As the Lord awakened me from my slumber, I pondered the day’s tasks.
I first spent time in prayer, Bible study, and reflection instead of social media, at last!
Hiked in the hills; my favorite pastime. Today, I trekked five miles.
Nature is stress’s remedy. For the moment, I forgot all about my trials.
Though on summer break, I dedicated some time preparing students for the next grade.
Painted my classroom, organized lessons, and planned what bulletin boards will be made.
Went grocery shopping. Returned some items. My car received some tender, loving care.
Washed, dried, and folded a few loads of laundry; a vegan casserole I did prepare.
The day has come to an end. Accomplished I feel; I can’t promise I’ll do the same tomorrow.
Off to bed I go, petitioning that in the morning, if He awakens me, His plans I will follow.
